Moose Creek Cabins and Inn welcomes you to the great outdoors of West Yellowstone, Montana. Moose Creek Cabins is a short five minute drive from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. West Yellowstone is an area that is full of great activities. Summer time brings warm weather which is great for hiking, rafting, or fishing. Heavy snowstorms may occur as early as September or as late as May, though most snow falls from November to March. Throughout the state, summer nights are generally cool and pleasant. It’s best to pack a sweater and light jacket, as the difference between morning and evening temperature could be vast.

Position Offered : Hotel Worker/Front Desk

Qualification : Employees must have Advanced English speaking and communication skills, as well as customer service skills. If employees do not have sufficient English skills, their offer may be revoked. Employees must be willing to interact with guests on a daily basis with a pleasant attitude. Employees must be punctual and reliable. Appearance must be professional. 

Position Description: The Hotel Worker position includes 4 days per week as Front Desk (approx. 2pm-10pm) and 1 day per week as Guest Room Inspector (approx. 9am-4pm). Additionally shift times may vary based on the time of season to be either 7:00am-3:00pm or 2:00pm-12:00pm. FRONT DESK DUTIES: Work hours will vary between 2:00pm and midnight and schedule may vary from week to week, but we will try to keep the same schedule each week to allow for a second job. Front desk duties include checking in and checking out guests, taking guest payments, answering phones, taking and entering reservations, answering any guest questions, assisting guests with luggage, escorting guests to room, repairing minor room issues (tvs, clogged toilets, change sheets, change towels, adjust A/C units, cleaning room if necessary, etc.), cleaning lobby (including lobby bathroom), removing trash from lobby, cleaning and sweeping parking areas and hotel grounds, sweeping and vacuuming hotel lobby. We do have three separate buildings so employees will be required to walk between buildings and up and down stairs if necessary. The most important part of this position is customer service which require employees to interact with guests always with a pleasant attitude (smile and greetings). Employees must give all guests undivided attention and treat each guest with respect. Front desk employees must be comfortable speaking English extensively with guests and providing guests with great customer service. Front desk employees must have great communication and customer service skills. If English skills are not sufficient, the job offer may be revoked. ROOM INSPECTOR DUTIES: At least one day per week, employee will be required to inspect all rooms after housekeeping has been done. Room inspection includes inspecting all rooms for cleanliness including, but not limited to: sheets, towels, bathrooms, toilets, sinks, showers, changing shower curtains, replacing light bulbs, checking tvs and lights, cleaning carpets, stocking all supplies, vacuuming under beds, checking fridges and microwaves, washing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, checking smoke alarms and alarm clocks, dusting, stripping bedding and removing trash, replacing bedding, and other duties to assist housekeepers. Room inspector will be responsible to ensure all rooms are clean and ready to rent. Room inspector may occasionally be required to help with laundry and housekeeping duties. Employees must be honest and aware of security related to personal guest information. Employees must be polite, smile, be courteous, and helpful in every way related to the hospitality industry. Work shifts may go until 10pm-12am and then it is a 2-3 block walk to housing. West Yellowstone is a very safe community, however, we want our hires to feel comfortable with this.
