Housekeeping

Wage: $14.25 /hour
Hours: 40 hours /week

Position Description
Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning rooms, vacuuming, changing linens and towels, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and doing laundry. You may have to use chemical cleaning products.
Additional DescriptionResponsible for cleaning of all guest rooms. * Cleaning and making up guest rooms * Maintaining room supplies in guest rooms and on linen carts * Checking all equipment in guest rooms to ensure everything is in proper working order * Lost and found items left in guest rooms turned in promptly * Assisting in Laundry area as needed Must be well organized and able to work independently and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work with a variety of different cleaning agents and understand their uses and safety procedures. Preferred experience in the hospitality or hotel resort industry Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop and bend and must have full use of finger dexterity for gripping of tools and equipment. Must be able to reach with hands and arms. Requires visual acuity and ability to hear to communicate with managers, co-workers and guests. Must be able to 30+ lbs

 

Dishwasher

Position Description
Dishwasher are responsible for cleaning and putting away dishes, pots and glassware that are used in the dining room, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying garbage and keeping the kitchen clean.
Additional Description
Dishwasher/Steward Responsibilities: • Reports to Executive Chef and/or Banquets Director • Wash all pots and pans, dishware, glassware and silverware storing in designated areas • Responsible for sweeping, mopping and detail cleaning of floors, walls, shelving and all back of the house areas • Responsible for detail cleaning of all ovens, warmers, deep fryers, grills, flat tops, cambros and portable grilling equipment • By health department regulations must inspect all chemicals in sanitizer buckets, dish machines and compartment sinks • Responsible for all garbage and recycling refuse and cleaning of all garbage cans • Ensure all breakages and chipped items are taken out of circulation and reported for inventory purposes • Weekly shift inspection of all thermometers in refrigerators and freezers to ensure proper function and temperatures • Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any items in need of repair • Follow all county health dept. regulations, department policies, procedures and service standards • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Transport kitchen and banquet equipment from central locations to events and back • Assist in dish ups and food transportation from kitchens and off site events • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Previous experience in a fast paced hotel Stewarding Department an asset • County food handlers card • A valid driver’s license, with a comfort level driving a company vehicle of up to 1-ton Physical Demands: Sitting 0-2hrs/day, walking 6-8hrs/day, standing 6-8hrs/day Must be well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Minimum of 16 years of age. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, climb or balance and must have full use of hands and fingers in order to grip utensils and tools. Requires visual acuity and hearing ability to clearly communicate with managers and co-workers. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
