Migis Lodge is a traditional Maine family lakeside resort.  We have been welcoming generations of guests since 1916.  Our Full American Plan resort has 35 private cottages and 6 lodge rooms and rates include three meals per day and full use of the resorts activities including waterskiing, tennis, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, fitness center, shuffleboard, hiking trails, sauna, exercise classes, children's programs, swimming, picnics, lobster bakes, lake cruises and more!  We host up to 170 guests per night at the height of our season.

About the Casco/Sebago area:

South Casco is one of three villages that make up the town of Casco, Maine, and is located on Sebago Lake. This is the deepest and second largest lake in Maine and contains a seasonally occupied island (Frye Island). The population is approximately 3700 but is heavily visited by tourists in the summer. Casco is home to Sebago Lake State Park (one of the original state parks), “Casco Days” – an annual community fair held in July, and various camps.

Bakeshop Background: prefer someone familiar with accurate culinary measurement techniques, and the ability to read and follow recipe card instructions consistently. Familiarity with most basic dessert preparations; cakes, cookies, breads, pies, is a plus, but not required. Ideal candidate will have worked in a kitchen at a restaurant, resort, etc. and has basic knowledge of measurements and ingredients, experience cooking/working with some foods. Student needs to be able to work alone or unsupervised after being trained and on the job for a period of time. 

Position Description: Previous food preparation exprience and advanced English skills are a requirement to apply for this job. We can train someone interested in culinary with the required baking/pastry skills. Bakeshop specifics: We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner dessert items as well as pastries in several other venues 7 days a week for up to 200 people a day sometimes, for this reason we need someone able to multi task and not be afraid of a little hustle! We enjoy having fun in the bakeshop but it's all about business at the end of the day. You need to be able to focus and consistently produce sometimes hundreds of products in a busy work environment. Cleanliness and organization are important; we can teach these habits but it's up to you to make them part of your everyday. Everyone in the bakeshop is responsible for helping with dishes and cleaning machinery. Must be able to work neatly in an a bakeshop with limited space.
