Additional Description
Housekeepers clean guest rooms and public hallways. This includes bedrooms, toilets, showers, kitchens, living areas, fireplaces, and decks. Job duties may include: removing and collecting linens for laundry, cleaning carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture, vacuuming, dusting furniture and equipment, emptying and cleaning wastebaskets, cleaning floors with brooms and mops, using chemical-based products to clean tubs, sinks, countertops, mirrors, toilets, door panels, shower curtains, etc. Housekeepers work in three different positions: Laundry Attendant, Room Attendant, and Houseperson. Employees do not get choose what position they are working within housekeeping. All other duties as required. Students must be capable of performing the following tasks: push a fully loaded cart weighing approximately 150 pounds, follow written and oral instructions in English, move large furniture such as a couch or mattress, climb up and down stairs while carrying items, and perform squatting and bending motions while cleaning areas. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays. Shifts vary based on business demands. Shifts typically begin at 9:00am and end when the rooms are complete. The schedule will change weekly and you must be prepared to work accordingly. Days off with friends are not guaranteed - based on the schedule of the business and how busy it is. There are NO SET SCHEDULES. You are expected to show up for work on time and not miss shifts. If you are going to be late or need to call out of work, you need to speak directly with your manager. Failure to do so may result in a warning. You will need to be able to clean rooms within a certain allotted time - this is hard and fast paced work! Tips are not guaranteed and are based on how well YOU provide service. Weekly wage varies based on business volume. Tips are at guest discretion. Use of cell phones and iPods during work hours are prohibited. This is hard work and you must be physically fit.

Bus Persons are responsible for assisting the wait staff, bringing water to the tables, clearing tables, taking out the garbage, helping to set the tables in the dining area, bringing dishes back and forth from the kitchen and generally keeping the dining room clean.

Students will need to be flexible to work in the following positions: Busser $7.95/hour plus tips Expeditor $10.75/hour no tips Host/Greeter $11/hour no tips Please note: Busser is the only tipped position. Assist with food and beverage service which may consist of the following: running food from the kitchen to the designated food service area, setting up, cleaning, and breaking down of the restaurant and kitchen areas, provide food and beverage service by responding to guest requests, clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables, stocking work stations and beverage stations with supplies, assist waiters and waitresses, serve guest, and all other duties as required. Bussers/Expeditors aren’t the front line of food service, but customer attentiveness and neat appearance are still necessary. Bussers/Expeditors make sure that the servers can focus on service and make sure that food comes out in a speedy manner. Host/greeters meet and greet incoming guests, seat guests, take payments, and make change for guests. Hosts use the computer/register to collect payments, assist as needed with washing dishes, restocking dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans. Assist as needed with bussing tables and supporting servers. Assist in restocking buffet, maintaining a clean dining room and work area. Also performs functions of children’s activity coordinator, such as setting out games and arts/crafts, serving ice cream, cleaning and restocking of ice cream supplies, and supervising and interacting with children and families.
