Cashier

 

Wage: $13/hour
Hours:  32-40 hours /week

Job Description:

The Cashier is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service to the dining guests. Job responsibilities include: Assisting all guests in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a high level of flow through the checkout lines, directly responsible for re-stocking, organization and cleanliness of their assigned cashier station, scramble area and the surrounding areas, restocking drinks and brewing coffee area, making sure cash drawer amount is accurate, completing cash check-out.

 

 

Entry Cook/Dishwasher

Job Description:

Mountain Dining Entry Level Cooks/Dishwashers are front and back of house Entry Level positions available at Northstar. They are responsible for providing excellent food service to all guests in our fast-paced restaurant locations. Duties include food preparation and cooking, stocking, working off prep lists, line/short order prep and plating, proper food handling practices, side work duties, as well as maintaining and cleaning service area.
This position is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility. Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.

• Change dishwater in dish machine every hour.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
• Set up or break down dishwashing area.
• Clean and roll/unroll mats.
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep/mop floors.
• Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
• Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
• General restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
• Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
• Must notify Manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Never touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
• Help out fellow employees when possible.
• Other duties as assigned.

Participants hired to a resort worker position must remain flexible and may be assigned to ANY department at the resort: housekeeping, any Food and Beverage Position, etc. You must be flexible to any option and be able to help meet the needs of the resort. This is a great position for participants who are flexible and willing to work in any department at Vail Resorts. Please familiarize yourself with all job postings at the resort to ensure you are willing to be flexible with any role.
